I believe that small business owners embody so much of what makes our society great: Hope, Courage, Passion, and Perseverance. 12+ hour days, sleepless nights. A million things to do and not enough time to do them in. They take on immense risk and sacrifice for the chance to provide a good life for their families, build financial freedom, and serve their communities.
Those are the people who inspire me. Those are the people I want to help succeed because I’m one of them. It’s been my life’s work developing the skills and knowledge to help them achieve their dreams.

About Us
Business
I believe that building a business is one of the most incredible things we can build. Through business, we can become the change we want to see in the world, at scale. If a person decides to recycle their soda bottle, that’s wonderful. Imagine if Coca-Cola decided to stop using plastic for their soda bottles globally. That’s the kind of impact you can make as a business.
I believe building a business is a lot like parenting. Every child is unique, with their own set of needs, strengths, and weaknesses. You instill in them your values and virtues. You start without all the answers, trusting that you'll find them when you need to. It takes a village and lots of attention to raise a healthy, well rounded person.
You’ll make mistakes along the way. It’s how you learn and grow from those mistakes that makes all the difference in their lives. If all goes well, they will grow up with a strong support network and a clear sense of who they are, what they believe, and what their greater purpose is. If you’re lucky, they’ll carry your legacy on long after you're gone. That’s the level of responsibility I bring to every project I touch.
Advertising
I believe the key to advertising is to know yourself, know your audience, and meet them where they are in a way that tastefully communicates who you are and what your greater purpose is. At its best, great advertising serves four core functions: Usefulness, Beauty, Entertainment, and Engagement.
I believe that when you take the time to truly understand your brand and clearly communicate who that person is, you naturally become magnetic to the people who see themselves reflected in that expression. With clarity of self and intentionality in where you show up, advertising becomes a powerful growth engine.
Advertising should be judged by how well it communicates who your brand is and how clearly it delivers the intended message, verbally and non-verbally. Was it useful? Beautiful? Engaging? Entertaining? Chasing metrics alone means losing sight of what truly drives brand attraction: consistently sharing your authentic self and connecting with your audience.
Branding
I believe that brands are like people. We personify them because it’s a deeply human way of understanding and interacting with the world. We are wired to connect with people. The more person-like your brand feels, the easier it is for people to connect with them.
I also believe that story connects us all. Through story, we learn what it means to be human. From stories of our past and those that entertain us in the present, to stories that shape our future. We are narrative-driven beings.
I believe that when your brand is built with purpose, authenticity, and consistency, it becomes your business’ most valuable asset. In my heart of hearts, that’s what I want to build for the people I serve. These core beliefs shaped the creation of my branding methodology.

Who is Josh as a Professional?
I love passionate, ambitious people. My work has always centered on helping them achieve their dreams through strategic communication, intentional branding and smart advertising.
After graduating from the University of Oregon with a degree in advertising, I began my career as Chief Brand Officer at MaskIT in 2015. Here I helped take an idea from concept to a nationally recognized brand trusted by companies like L’Oréal, GEICO, and Google. Over the past decade, that work contributed to over $4 million in sales and a company valuation exceeding $20 million.
Along the way, I’ve led brand development, built digital ecosystems, and overseen e-commerce operations, shaping everything from websites and campaigns to long-term growth strategy.
Seeing our brand blossom into the authentic, purpose-driven organization it is today fills my soul with immense joy and gratitude. I’m incredibly proud of our team and what we’ve built together. With MaskIT in a strong place, I’m ready to help more passionate, ambitious people achieve their dreams while pursuing my own: building Southern Oregon’s premier branding and advertising agency.

Who is Josh as a Person?
I’ve always been naturally curious. You know the type. The kind of kid whose favorite word was “why” and who grows up with a passion for understanding how things work. I love exploring ideas and finding opportunities where others see obstacles. I find joy in making people feel good and bringing energy into a room. From humble beginnings to overcoming significant adversity, I’ve become resilient, hardworking, and committed to continual growth.
One quirk my wife discovered the hard way through our many home improvement projects is that despite being extremely coordinated, I’m incredibly clumsy. (If you’re reading this, sorry my love.)
I’m drawn to experiences that inspire wonder and creativity. I love exploring nature, traveling to new places, writing poetry, and capturing beautiful moments through photography. Problem-solving energizes me, whether it’s solving puzzles, guessing plot lines, or jerry-rigging things. In quieter moments, I enjoy watching sports and TV shows with loved ones or reading books on branding, psychology, and communication. I also love having deep conversations about life, politics, and the human condition.
